This bow looks exactly like the one I just purchased.  It is a great bow.  I don't know much about them but it has great balance and can be easily rehaired when needed.  Very well made.

Exactly Kevin,

The incredible thing is that about 10-15 years ago I tried some Carbon Fiber bows that people were selling for 500-1500 dollars and did not like them enough to pay the price. This one is a small fraction of that price and works perfectly. I guess they've made some great strides with materials and production. If I was an instrument dealer I would include a similar bow in every case instead of these cheap brazilwood bows that they are including.

FM,

How many do you have? I never have much luck on ebay. I just bidded on a bow and someone out bid me by 32 cents (I had to be at work when it was ending).

I have 10 pky 🙂

I've never tried anything like this before. I'm thinking it'll go for between $60-120.

We can wait to see what it sells for. They are obviously hand made and slightly different from one another. The one that I played on feels just as good as my $4,000 Nürnberger.

Yeah! I may have a chance, then.  Are you going to put them all on ebay or sell them here? Are you going to test them individually?

I'll sell you one if you like Pky. I really don't know what I will do. I was thinking one at a time.

Kevin - Good luck, you will be happy with it if you get it. cow-fingerscrossed

Yes, I will buy one from you but wouldn't be able to afford it if you sell it for $4000 😛 (unless it is in Japanese yen or so).

Do you think you will have any of these left after Christmas? I would be interested in one for sure as my present bow is apparently way to heavy. Would it ship to the UK ok?

No problem, they are very strong. I've never tried it but I have heard that you can use carbon fiber bows for fishing 🙂 When the time comes I will check shipping costs for you.

Sorry it didn't go too well for you, but I'm jumping up and down here:P

My maximum bid was a lot higher than that, though!

Thank you!

By the way, there was a message on my ebay invoice, was it from you or ebay?

Wow!!!! I was on when FM congratulated you on the shout box then went afk (away from keyboard) again for a while.

I was wondering what it sold for and it sounds like you got an insane deal pky!!! It's rare to get a really nice item for a price like that!!!!  dancing

On the other side sorry you lost out on the deal FM, but at least you know it's going to someone who is here on your website!  🙂

On "Cheap eBay violins" … Just tell people they are like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.  With a little love, and some practice, they too can be made beautiful.
