I just wanted drop a quick plug here for Pierre and his Fiddlershop website for the outstanding service provided to me and for answering all of my annoying questions. I have been struggling for the last week on buying a case and a decent bow that doesn't bounce along my strings like a freaking pogo stick.  Thanks to Pierre's review and emails, I finally found what I needed!

Oh, and here was the great message of the day: "This message was sent to you at the request of Fiddlershop, to notify you that they have shipped a package to you."

thumbs-up

It's kind of rare these days where you can actually talk to the owner of a company about their products and get quick, timely responses back.  I have been very impressed with this level of customer service.

Thanks again Pierre!

Thanks everyone.

Naska, you are the furthest thing from annoying. smile
I checked on the status of that case the other day and they don't know anything about when it will be in stock.

You had to pick the craziest design right? !!!!

You mean her brand spanking new K-550 didn't come in a case ????????

Pierre, how about showing us what she ordered. It's fancy ?  I hope it can withstand her LEAPING from tall building's with a single bound.

I have to chime in here!  I have made quite a few purchases from FM and can say, there is no better customer service on the net!

The only issue I ever had with a product was a bad set of strings and Pierre went to bat for me w/D'Addario and they replaced them immediately, no questions asked.

And how can you not love coming home and seeing the white pvc tube sitting at your door, lmao,,, you know who it's from and what's in it!!!!

Come to think of it, I once ordered from FM and screwed up the order and it did get properly remedied ...... I can think of situations from the "big" guys where I had many regrets but FM came thru.

See, what kind of sucks though is the 2-day wait for my new bow to arrive.  I had my instructor play around with my current rental and even with her level of skill, she still found it irritating to use.   After reading all the reviews on the FM shop site, I can't wait to try this out!

On Monday I will be heading back to the local music store to return this rental and everything associated with it.  That's a pretty darn good feeling as a month ago, I didn't even know how to hold a violin much less play music on one.

rofl Uh-huh! i'm always lucky! facepalm And they still don't have it at all? I mean even in any other interior colours?confused LOL! I can wait for it! Though that case that You've send me works perfect! I was amazed that the violin doesn't dangle in it even when i'm running to the bus! duncecap I didn't think that something can work that well! Thank You kindly for it again!

Pierre made it to come in the case blink. K550 goes without outfit, like the real grownup violin tongue as it is.

I want that one. And - yes! it's fancy with that interioramuse:

WOW, if that's a beauty, Naska.

The artwork on the case may be unusual but I have a very similar case from the UK.

Mine is the heaviest case I ever had and I'm not happy.

I also have to chime in. I've bought a number of things from fiddlershop.com and had great service every time. Other than the great packaging for the CF bow, my favorite part was when I ordered the Fiddlerman t-shirt and came home one day to hear a voice message from Pierre himself. He was concerned that I had ordered the wrong size! (It was fine, by the way.)

1st-place

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

Yuppers, I ordered his CF bow.  That's a pretty darn good price too from what I understand.  It will be great to have one that's actually light-weight and correctly balanced.

Naska actually ordered the "Tiger Stripes" interior of that case. LOL

In regards to other colors, I can check for you but I think you are right for being patient and actually getting what you really want. I admire that.

Wow, Naska! That IS a fancy case.  Kind of like it actually.  Hmm.  I think my next upgrade will be to get an additional CF bow, and that case. But I'm not really digging those specific colors.

I'd prefer THIS one!
