Daniel, that lady is a demon on the fiddle! Thanks for posting that solo.
Btw everyone, I just had a lesson this morning and showed all four parts to my teacher (Richard) to get his thoughts on what I should be able to play (I played 4th with no problem, but he's going to help me work on 3rd, in hopes that I can get there in a couple of weeks) and if FM is interested,,, Richard said he'd be happy to notate bow strokes for all four pieces if that helps anyone. Just let me know if it's a worthwhile contribution.

Why not have your teacher join in, you can record together or separate.

Now that guy in the video posted earlier in the thread was definitely something.. But that lady definitely was mind-blowing.
springer: I'd bet I can't do that, too.

Kevin! Can your fingers do that. It took me 30 seconds to make my fingers do that for the first time. I think I broke something.
I only said how to do it never said I could, not with my fingers. My teacher told me to hold the bow with my fingers together, I told her they were together and then showed her how bent my knuckles are.

How do you play the double stops for 13-16 i.e. open A and C sharp at the same time. Is there something there I don't see?
Play the A on the D string with your 4th finger and the C sharp on the A with your 2nd finger.
Play open 'a' and 3rd finger in 3rd position or 1st finger in 5th position on the 'e' string.
