That is funny Kevin.  My Mother-In-Laws boyfriend, (sticking finger down throat) is from Alabama and when he talks he sounds like Boomhauer from King of the Hill.  Can't understand a word he says.  And when he drinks...ya might as well forget it, he sounds like crocodile talking Shakespeare underwater.

Did you use Google Translate to translate the King's English to American Hillbilly?

5 new instructional videos on the project page.

https://fiddlerman.com/2012/06.....e-project/

For those of you who think that all the parts are too hard, check out part 5. Time is approaching and I want videos in about 3 weeks. Diane asked me on the chat if multiple parts were allowed on one video and the answer is absolutely. If you have someone or several in your family that play, by all means do it together. Makes for a cool video.

Thanks for the videos! Hearing it makes more sense and the tip to play near the frog for fast string crossing is heart But after watching video 1... omg ok now I am scared, it starts easy but gets hard to play very fast! I'll have to learn double stops (they are not in my methods yet) + playing super fast!

EDIT: duh me, video 1 is the hardest lol, need more coffee!

Glad that things makes more sense after my video.

To everyone: as usual I would like to have the uncompressed videos sprended to me rather than the compressed videos on Youtube.
Thanks :-)
This is going to be real fun. Who will be the first to post their progress????

made it through part 3.  almost up to speed.  Just a bit more.  One question.  The click track has a bass in the backgroung.  Do you think it would be ok, to record it with an actual double bass or are we only using fiddles and viola's???

You play the bass?

Let's take it to a vote. I originally wanted to use exclusively fiddles and violas but I love having a base line.

One of the guys i play with does these old time camps where they all dress like it's the 1700's.  I'll see if i can't get him in a video.  As for the chicken, hmm, playing is gonna be hard enough.

Ok, I stilll need to figure out how to do the sprend thing
