Daniel, that lady is a demon on the fiddle!  Thanks for posting that solo.

Btw everyone, I just had a lesson this morning and showed all four parts to my teacher (Richard) to get his thoughts on what I should be able to play (I played 4th with no problem, but he's going to help me work on 3rd, in hopes that I can get there in a couple of weeks) and if FM is interested,,, Richard said he'd be happy to notate bow strokes for all four pieces if that helps anyone.  Just let me know if it's a worthwhile contribution.

Holy Double-Stops, Batman!

I think I'm gonna take Pierre's advice here and play the top note the first time, the bottom note the second time.

D-S = the bane of my existence at the moment.

roflol

Printed all four parts, gonna get crackin on this. Can't wait to see the final product of this.

How do you play the double stops for 13-16 i.e. open A and C sharp at the same time. Is there something there I don't see?

Play the A on the D string with your 4th finger and the C sharp on the A with your 2nd finger.

Why not have your teacher join in, you can record together or separate.

Nice of him to offer Fred. I appreciate it but I already have the files on Finale so it would be pretty easy to put those indications in. If there are no indications just play as it comes.

I fixed a few things. You guys can download the updated versions.

Now that guy in the video posted earlier in the thread was definitely something.. But that lady definitely was mind-blowing.

springer: I'd bet I can't do that, too.

Kevin, that's a wonderful idea; I'll ask him if he can do it!  I know he'd love to do it if he can find time.

I only said how to do it never said I could, not with my fingers.  My teacher told me to hold the bow with my fingers together, I told her they were together and then showed her how bent my knuckles are.

Play the A on the D string with your 4th finger and the C sharp on the A with your 2nd finger.

Play open 'a' and 3rd finger in 3rd position or 1st finger in 5th position on the 'e' string.

Thanks Kevin, right on.....

I'll try to find time to make a how to video during the week. If anyone else wants to do it too you are more than welcome. The more the merrier.
