Funnily enough, I was looking at FM's violas today. I looked at one of the demos and like the 'darker' sound.
I may be tempted by the 'Dark Side' of fiddling. 
What does the 'Emperor' (aka 'FM') think?

I like bright sweet violin sound. I love having the dark viola sound in an ensemble as well as the deep sounds of the cello. One of the reasons that I want the violin to be bright and sweet is to exaggerate the full range when playing orchestrally and chamber music.
