Yann Tiersen is well known for his music in the film "Amélie", I've posted about his music I love in the Haunting Music From French Composers Thread. He plays many different instruments (including Fiddle) but, NOW his music is a soundscape of acoustic & electronic elements adding song & multi-media performance by his wife.
This past Summer, Yann and his wife (Emilie Quinquis) did an unusual tour. They decided they were unhappy with the 'normal' touring itinerary of going from City to City, performance to hotel room (and repeat) - they wanted to connect with people more.
The Ninnog Commitment - LOVE #4, "We will resist routine and explore uncharted territories in our music and performances."
About their Summer 2023 Tour - it included; the east coast of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Outer Hebrides, Faroe Islands, Shetland, Orkney, Liverpool, and Wales.
