Playing the right notes while the violin is out of tune reminds me of when I was around 8 or 9 yrs. old. I was playing solo in a recital in front of around 30 people who's children were also playing solo pieces.

In the middle of the song I was playing, my E string snapped, (to my embarrassment). I don't recall the name of the song,(I can still play the beginning)but I continued to finish the song without using the E string, as the tune didn't require the E.

The audience didn't even laugh, I guess they knew my plight.

Another experience from my younger day.

Ken.
