Well, that is "bowing" as in bow from the waist not as bow with a bow (huh?)

Anyhow, this is the way to do it.

Hey G do you have a smart phone or iPhone? there is a great tuner that you can keep on and peek at and monitor while you play and it works great even with background noise. It includes calibration for violin and you can set at FM's a443 too. It's called Cleartune and a ton of studio recording artists are using it cause you can calibrate it and it is really accurate.
