Yeah, I had a nice (if slightly strange) birthday. Wished for a new chinrest, got a sewing machine... which is also awesome, because now I won't have to borrow mum's all the time. 
I've been pretty inactive here lately, as Ken said, and that's because I've been pretty inactive on the violin too. Trying to change that. (At least I participated in the Canon, though, right?)

I was actually planning to sew a shoulder pad back when I got my violin, but then I bought a Wolf Forte Secondo shoulder rest, and that didn't seem as meaningful any more... Drew up a pattern, though.
The latest thing I sewed was a bow tie. No hang on... a pair of Thai trousers? Yes. I'll wear them together, that'll look properly weird!
