So it was about two years ago...
On Facebook Hilary Hahn's facebook promo team came up with a contest. The contest was to promote My very favorite new Album. "in 27 Pieces"
I am obsessed with Hilary.. (everyone knows..or now you do)... Anyway.. I was one of the three lucky winners. I got the CD... (which I had already bought via Itunes on the day of it's release)... I got a poster... It came damaged... they sent me a new one.. it arrived damaged too.. but the whole thing.... is the third part of the prize...
The sheet music for the whole Album. Most importantly to me.. "Mercy" My very very favorite song... almost of all time.
Well the promo team emailed me and said it was delayed... the sheet music would be out next spring....about 3-4 months later. Okay.. I can wait right? So after about 6 months I emailed them... I was told there was delays..
I emailed about 5 months later... and about another five months later (guest-imating)..
So anyway.. I am over it... As I can tell the music never got published for sale for the public..YET.. even though I could see there were earnest plans to do so.
So I am not mad or calling them out.. I am just bummed because I want to play Mercy and I am NOT an ear player (I am a bit bummed that the promo people ignored my last emails...not cool, but I am over all of it).
So I just want to play Mercy... I mean I have tried... I am sure it is way beyond my scope.. yes.. but you know even Clair De lune (my other favorite song) has an easy version that i can toy with.. ya know.
So that is my long sob story... Ha ha... not really a sob story...
I JUST WANT TO PLAY "MERCY"
Vibrato Desperato.... Desperately seeking vibrato

Regulars
Well that really sucks. I would be bummed to. Then I would be pissed at them not answering my email. Why would they offer something as a prize that was not even available to them? I think that's false advertising.
Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.
