I have been on many forums so I guess I may have bad habits but I can easily lose my way with this site format.  Questions:

Does "unread" mean that I did not read a post OR that nobody has read a post ?

The SEARCH engine seems to only work on topic titles.  Yes ?

Is there any way for me to see my post history ?

The only one I can answer is the unread one as I just found out myself. I have put up a few posts in the forums and I know not all have been read. But when i looked and saw the unread post and clicked on it it was an answer to ONE of the posts I put up.

So to me that means that your posts have been read and a reply was posted that YOU have not read yet. Hope that helps some

The search function will work on the subject, title and text I think. Make sure to check the appropriate options at the same time such as ALL FORUMS. That used to drive me nuts. Also if you choose ANY WORD instead of ALL WORDS you will get a million results.

Where do you see unread? My "Topics with unread posts" is the stuff that I haven't read. Maybe unread is somewhere else too.

Choose your "Profile" from the far top right of the forum - "View Topics Member Has Posted To"

and "View Topics Member Started"

Also you guys can Subscribe to every topic you want or Watch the topic. The difference is that one sends you an email letting you know that a reply was made and the other will highlight above.

I believe that my "unread" and yours are the same.

I can not get any option windows from my SEARCH function?  I can search but not text.

I saw CAN DELETE OWN POSTS in permissions which would be useful to me.

Posts I have not read turn up BLUE in the right side list.  Yes?

I believe that you are searching in the wrong place. You must search on the forum and not the sites. First you press on that search button then you choose the options. Match all words is more specific if you remember details. See my jpgs below.

The problem is if people remove their post when it is relevant to the discussion.
You can always remove a post before a reply has been made. Let me know if you want anything removed and I will in the meanwhile look into giving YOU the privilege. Seeing that you are the only Honorary advisor so far.Wink

Yes and no. They are the latest 10 posts, period. If you have not see more than ten you will not know unless you look at your "Topics With Unread Posts".
The 10 on the right side will be blue if you have never visited them as with all links on your browser.

That is a WordPress search for members that are logged in. It works for the whole site but I don't think it goes into the database for the forum.
