The CVN-300 finally arrived 🙂 It's shiny lol, which will take a little getting used to, but it sounds so sweet. I'm considering changing my strings on the Fernando to the spares that come with the CVN-300. I also realized that my bridge on the old violin was too high which was something of an eye-opener because it took so much less pressure to play. There was hardly a screeching sound when playing the E and A strings even if the strings were steelcore if I'm not mistaken. It came with 2 bows, rosin, a bridge, and high quality strings(extra) and a shoulder rest, which was something of a surprise because I wasn't expecting the shoulder rest since it wasn't on the list. http://www.ceciliomusic.com/ca.....-p-34.html

But oh, when I played it, it was so easy to get a sweet tone and even a little vibrato wasn't too hard. Thanks Pierre Holstein aka Fiddlerman!

The smile says it all Daniel!  Congratulations and happy violin days.  But don't forget to post a video with the new one.  Thanks for your earlier videos.

P.S.  You have tagged this post well.

I'm happy to see that you finally received it. Was it in tune at all when you got it? I left the tension on the strings after reading somewhere that this was better to do.

I followed instructions on protecting the bridge from falling down on the belly with all those folded paper towels. Looks like it worked 🙂

BTW, you can use those paper towels 😉

It was in tune, except for the E string, which loosened somewhat. Which led me to question my electronic tuner since it sounded so different. I'm currently customizing my old violin to match the cecilio, (sand the bridge, change the strings) dazed
