@stringy Never seen this show. I looked it and Johnny Flynn up online—he’s quite an actor & musician, many talents. I read that he composed music for period instruments for a production of As You Like It at the Globe Theatre.
This tune has a 70s folk tune feel to it—I really like it

Love Detectorists and have the first three series (seasons) on DVD, but I have to rain on your parade and say I found both Christmas specials dreary. Problem is, they keep covering the same old ground each time (if you'll forgive the apt metaphor), only this time they slashed and burnt everything first.
Morse is one of those things where there are some stand-out episodes and some boring ones. I loved its spin-off Lewis for a long time then eventually tired of it. (I tend to overwatch things until I can't stand them any longer). If you like Rachael Stirling, catch the Lewis episode with her in. It's possibly the best one they ever did. It's called Life Born of Fire.

Glad our American friends enjoyed it, Sortof a gentle comedy which drags you in.
Gordon, there are always the odd episode in anytning that is not to great, it happens, different things appeal to different people its what makes us all unique, nothing wrong with disliking something.
Sharon, I saw the production of as you like it at the globe, my brother in laws friend played one of the lead parts, mind you there were only about 8 actors in it, and it wasnt done in shakespearean period dress, but was very enjoyable, they have a little balcony over the stage were the musicians kept coming out to play.
Cant beat a sunny day
