Yesterday while screeching out noise with the traveler at a rest stop, a gentleman walked up and started talking about playing. Turns out he's an instructor for Fiddle. He also has a small rented studio room in a music store not 3 miles from my house. I was 180 miles from home when we met. I am going to see him tomorrow at his studio and see if I am trainable. LOL. I was working on Devils Dream (just started it, so you can imagine the horror of all listeners).
So, we'll see if he can teach an old dog new tricks. He has some 30+ years as a fiddler, plays at jamborees and in several small fiddler groups. So, no more youtube only lessons and FM pulling out all his hair. HA!
I won't use the Traveler at this, but I will pose a question for FM in a video by tomorrow with that wonderful fiddle. My daughter will be playing it this evening so I should have a video with her and it either by tonight or tomorrow after my lesson. I'm kind of excited about it, but worried that I have taught myself to many bad habits. But, We never move forward if we don't take that first step. It seems ordained in a sense. I have lots of people talk to me at the rest areas, a professional violinist and now an instructor included. I did look him up online. He also plays/teaches guitar, mandolin, and banjo. No, don't even ask
I'll let you know how it all goes if I'm not back online tonight. I'm excited about it really.

Oh very cool. I hope you click. I don't think I could have done this without lessons!
Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

I mentioned this in another Video. The streamers are for a surprise Birthday Party for my wife.... I mean in Joyous Celebration of playing the Fiddle
AS a mostly self-taught string chucker, It's amazing what we teach ourselves as we know no better. Once we seek guidance/instruction, a new world opens up.
