Thanks guys. That helps.
How about the header???

I was looking at it just now and thought, its not bad the way it is,its just not very exciting as far as the colors, maybe you could experiment with some different colors. The blah & blue do nothing for me   :)

I like the violin graphic used for your shop - outline of the violin laying on it's side.  With FiddlerMan and tag line incorporated.

Violinist start date -  May 2013

Fiddler start date - May 2014

FIDDLE- Gift from a dear friend. A 1930-40 german copy, of a french copy of a Stradivarius.  BOW - $50 carbon fiber. Strings - Dominants with E Pirastro Gold string.

Made an experimental one but didn't add color yet. Good idea Schaick. I'll get back to the drawing board later when I find time. :)
Please keep the tips coming.

Thanks Barry. Michael, my son and business partner for fiddlershop.com, didn't like it. LOL

It seems the 'f' and the 'c' in fiddlerman.com are represented by images of the sides of violins.  But the representation of 'f' has the upper corner of the top plate pointed the wrong way.  That makes it look kind of like a fat f-hole with some kind of doodad hanging from the bottom.

@RosinedUp  I think the illusion is a bit off - if a light was shining on the violin to cause the shadow on one side it would not be so wide on the other side.

@Fiddlerman,

Just toying with some ideas. Instead of the F holes, I thought I'd try it with the Forte and Common Time.

I think it's supposed to be two different violins.  The 'f' is the bass side of one (except for the mentioned error at the corner), and the 'c' is the treble side of the other.

@Schaick Edit Wed Jul 9 17:46:15 CDT 2014.  The two fiddles could be in the same scene if the light were placed between the fiddles and the viewer, that is, in front of the viewer, but directed toward the fiddles.

I like Feathers graphic also, but I'm not sure I'd fool with something that has been so successful for all this time and brought in this kind of clientele.

@Feathers Very cool.  Would it be possible to add a picture of a true violin maybe from one of the stock that Fiddlerman sells in his shop?  They are so beautiful!!

Good point Fiddlestix.

@Schaick, thank you. And yes, a real violin could be used in the design. Here's just an example of what that sort of would look like. Although, it's ultimately Pierre's decision. smile

@Feathers  That is perfect!!!  Clean, refined, classic.  If we were having a poll this is the one I would choose!!

I like this one.  It is classy, and gives a really nice impression.  Pics of Pierre in the right hand sidebar would be good as well.  Any way to get the ones used for the fiddlershop link to maybe alternate through a list of Pierre pics whenever one reloads the page?  It would avoid fatigue and it sure doesn't hurt for new visitors to see who the Fiddlerman is..

I also like that picture that Daniel posted.  I see it's being used now.  Yes, very classy.
