Thanks everyone.
I'm REAL excited about the progressions over the past year on this site.
- We have successfully completed 3 great group projects.
- We have increased our membership to almost 1300 fiddlers.
- Last October 2nd we had around 500 unique visits per day.This week we've had over 1600 UNIQUE visits each day.
- New forum posts per day are way up and I feel that members are getting to know each other in a very unique, prosperous, and life changing ways. We are forming life long relationships and it feels like we are a big happy (most of the time) fiddle family.
- Thanks to Fred, some of us will be having a chance to meet in person which I anticipate will be a blast. One for the books !!!
- I moved Fiddlerman.com to a dedicated server with much greater speeds and virtually no down time that I know of.
These are only a few of the changes off the top of my head..
What have you guys noticed during the past year?
As far as plans go, I plan on making much better videos. Videos that you will be able to use on a regular basis instead of once in a while. I don't want to say too much about them now but I think they will be a big hit. (Knowing me and my plans, I probably shouldn't have said this at all. LOL)
I plan on getting bigger, better, and easier projects on regular basis going here and recruit help from members and colleagues.

I noticed most the wonderful supportive "global family" we have here. Although many members that join up are one post wonders that simple join to take a look and then leave never to post again... the core of our group is comprised of many years of hands on craftsmanship, abilities, varied educations and employment talents and of course we all share one true love... the violin.
Everyone here that is learning to play has to go thru the SAME stuff. Nobody gets to skip over much so we all have been there-done that and are eager to share what has worked for us and what hasn't worked.
Although our group is sometimes irritated with another, I think the basis for such irritation is our never ending passion to excel and have our friends and co-player excel as well.
I look forward to a future of incredible opportunities and eagerly await more cool stuff...
oh, and the smileys.

At fiddlerman.com we really are a global "family". As cdennyb said, we all go through the same stuff as we learn to play the violin. Thanks to FM we have this site to share our interest and love of wanting to learn how to play. There is no better site for beginners and all levels of violinists to learn and relate. There is an enormous amount of work involved in running this site. And Pierre is so available and easy to communicate with. This site keeps getting better and better. Members can become as involved as much or as little as they wish.
