I am wondering if anyone else has attempted the same thing I just did. I went to the fingering game to try to learn to read music. Would there be a version of this game we could download the not only did what this game does now but also has mabye a tutorial level. Maybe something along the lines of each string as a seperate study guide or lesson. You progress through the lessons by the crawl walk run method.
CRAWL the program shows you the note on the page then what position it is on the string. Possibly 2 or 3 differrent notes from the same string giving you around 10 seconds each note to memorize its look on the sheet music to the position of your finger on the specific string.
WALK After you have seen and done the site and clicking the appropriate fingering on maybe 2 or 3 notes you have a basic test like the game is now. But now you get 2 mistakes and the tutrial restarts where you were.
RUN One you have worked your way through the entire string in the walk phase you then have the run phase where the program randomly generates the notes like the game now going through the entire set of notes possibly 3 times before you get to move to the next string. And you get NO MISTAKES here.
Possibly have a beginner program of each string then an intermediate of 2 strings at one test and the final advanced course of all 4 strings.
Feedback is appreciated does anyone else think this idea may hel people learn or is it just a day dream idea that wouldnt work?

By going to your recomended site on fingering but as I see there are four octives of lets say A i have no idea what an A looks like on sheet music. My possible idea was combining the 2. Where a new player like myself could go to possibly see both the fingering AND what the specific note looks like on sheet music and what it looks like on the fingering

Thank you thats getting alot closer to what I was suggesting. Only problem with We Will ROck You is I think it may be a little too advanced for beginners like myself. While I do not expect you to make anything in the way of holding my hand and leading me ( i recognize the need to engage my grey matter to get the lesson fully) maybe something along the line of the true beginner version of maybe just the scales in half or even whole notes. Top part of it being the sheet music and under each bar the coinciding fingering chart. That way idiots like myself can look at it maybe after download and some creative editing on our computer and bring up 2 or 3 bars at a time with coinciding fingering for practice. Basically I would be using as a double learning tool. One to learn the fingering of the notes and second to learn sheet music at the same time.

Your Ode to Joy is the PERFECT candidate for what i was thinking with what you have there a nice simple tune for beginners you show the fingering very clearly in the video. What I was thinking was something along the lines of maybe scrolling sheet music underneath to show us newbies what they look like on sheet music. With that and what you have allredy on your video we could learn the notes on the sheet music, the correct fingering, timing, and correct tone all at the same time.
