There was actually some talk several months back of doing something like this--gathering at a fiddle festival to jam. Might be fun sometime.

I love the idea. We should all meet in a central state of one close to me :-)
and bring tents, learn some music and perform at some fiddle festival.
Lots of jams and BBQ's of course.

Maybe a Skype meeting would be do-able for all that live far away? Even if it's 15 min in the real meeting just to say hello banana

What a nice idea, Joe. And I am honored to be on your list of six. I'd love to meet quite a few of the folks from the forum and chat in person. If someone gets a get together organized, I'd consider attending if the budget and schedule allow. Kansas sounds like a fine central location. :) Maybe there would be a way for those who can't travel to join virtually...maybe via Skype?

since Memorial Day weekend is coming a few days, I'll have a B-B-Q and think of everyone while I'm getting stuffed on goodies and drink and that will represent the Northern California event of the Fidlerman Annual B-B-Q here... sorry you all can't make it.

After we have all turned up and drunk Denny's liquor (to save him from himself of course!)
We need a Skype time and date

While it's tempting to show up at Denny's place this weekend, Skype is probably the most reasonable idea. Time zones will be a challenge, but nothing we can't overcome, I'm sure.

Who's gonna set it up?

Trust me... there's no way you could drink up all my liquor... you might put a small dent in it, but "all" (?) I don't think so... but it'd be fun to watch you try! ROFLMFAO

OK, I will virtually show up with my virtual potato salad and BBQd virtual chicken. You may all virtually enjoy promptly at lunchtime this Saturday in your respective time zones. It is up to you if you want to virtually sample Denny's corn squeezins shown above.tongue
