I've had a couple or three issues about the forum I've either wanted to suggest something on, or ask questions about. There is no forum I can find (other than this one, where anything goes) to do such things.
So, some suggestions:
1) Make a forum for discussing the forum. Usage, limitations, policies, problems, fixes/workarounds, etc.
2) Make the timeout for the "New" stuff in chats you haven't read yet longer. A LOT longer, if possible. If I'm just skimming, and pretty much caught up, it's fine. It lasts about 2 minutes, maybe as much as 5. After that, it goes away, and you have to start at the beginning of the topic.
In a case where I want to make a reply to something, I may need to do some research first, revise what I've written (nearly always making it shorter... ), etc, and by the time I've done all that, all of the "New" buttons have disappeared.
Ideally, they'd never go away. 2nd best, the timeout on when they do is longer.
3) Add a "jump to top" button to the posts. When I've read all of the current posts in a topic, sometimes it takes quite a while to scroll to the top. Don't know if this one is doable - depends on the underlying software.

@Fiddlerman, at the top of each topic is a section that has something like "8 topics with unread posts". When I click that, I get a list of topics. Out to the right of each topic, there's a button marked "New", which will take me straight to the first post that I have NOT read.
After a few minutes, that "New" button disappears, and I have to start at the beginning of the post. Takes a lot longer to keep caught up that way. I'm asking to have the timeout for that "new" button extended or removed. If I take the time to reply to something, by the time I click on it again (to read the next topic), all the "New" buttons are gone, and I have to do things the hard way.
