Hello everyone!
This is m8, a user who introduced himself one year ago after purchasing a cecilio electric violin, was moderately active for a short time, and then POOF vanished.
Well I'm happy to say that I'm looking forward to becoming part of the community here again in a lasting way, but more importantly, becoming a true violinist. Over the past year life became too busy, not only for violin playing, but for my own health. Well, I'm very happy to say that my life has been changing for the better, and furthermore that I can have (and will make) time for goofing around on the violin, perhaps for a short time every night as is suggested on this website.
I also wanted the opportunity to thank you, Fiddlerman, for keeping your site active all this time. I'm sure you've seen so many come and go, but you have remained. You are incredible, and such a game changer! I really plan on setting goals, getting back to the basics, and making the most of this 21st century opportunity to become a violinist. You've probably seen some great progress in so many, but I hope that I can really utilize your teaching and make you proud.
I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone (again?) since there's a good chance no one remembers me at all LOL Such is life.
P.S. At long last I have been reunited with the violin of my adolescence (it has been 7 years!) and thanks to skills that I indeed learned the last time around (last year with the electric), I was able to install new strings and tune them on my acoustic (which really and truly is an accomplishment for me, and a credit to this site). It was really a touching moment... I really never appreciated the beauty of what I had, the poor instrument was so neglected. Well, now it's time to dust her off, and let her sing!
Time to start recording.
