That was some good reading (way better than the Michael Jackson trial all over the news here in California). I found a few download tutorials for playing Irish fiddle and I'm a little confused because the teachers fiddle is totally caked with rosin under the bridge. Is that something to help get that gritty sound? I wipe down my fiddles all the time because I still tend to use too much rosin I think.
