Sorry to say I will not be posting anymore on this forum, you all are a great bunch of people, but I feel I cant be part of any forum which is scared of offending those who by their choices choose to do others harm.
I have friends who have been seriously impacted by the thoughtless and misconceived choices of of a minority of ill informed oafs.
So sorry to say goodbye,
I would like to ask could all my posts be deleted please.
Cant beat a sunny day

Hi,
WOW @stringy I'm truly sorry to read this. I'm still pretty new on this forum but you've been so kind and a huge help to me; please don't go you'll be sadly missed.
I'm not party to what happened but I was faced with a similar situation a few years ago on another forum and like you I politely walked away not wanting to cause a fuss. About a year ago I found I could actually block the offender which I did so now I don't receive their details such as posts and replies. I've never previously had to do this but the member had taken something I posted completely the wrong way which upset me a great deal. I didn't request my threads or posts to be deleated but I was well and truly rattled.
I'm now posting again on the forum; it's so easy to offend without body language but I thought why should I leave so many friends just because someone has taken offence where no offence was meant or implied. I've since on yet another form blocked a member who kept picking me up before I fell; every forum has certain members who find it difficult to rub along in peace although on this excellent and other forums too I've enjoyed membership to the full. I don't know if a member can be blocked by another member on this forum but it's worth checking.
You've only just kindly given me very useful information resulting in me subscribing to The Strad and also I bought the Min Kym book you so rightly highly recommended.
Please reconsider and if you've been offended try to work around it; I regretted walking away from a forum but was pleased to start posting once again after I'd calmed down thinking I never intended offence so let it go. Please carry on posting.
Kind regards, Colin.

@stringy, I, as someone who posts infrequently but reads posts on this forum daily, I'll be very dismayed if you quit posting your very enjoyable and useful videos and comments.
Your contributions are valued by most of the members on these forum, so I hope you will reconsider your decision to leave.
Whatever you decide, good luck and enjoy the violin.

Oh dear, dont really know how to say this but I have indeed as Emily pointed out posted this to the wrong forum.
I owe an explanation so will explain, I am a member of quite a few forums, a lot of which are not music related at all, in one of them I have had a falling out, which I wont go into but I wrote this reply for that forum. I do all my posts from my tablet and always have multiple windows open as I skip between different forums, you can guess the rest, hope everyone on here who I value as friends that I have gotten to know can see the amusing side. sorry folks.
