Unfortunately, I will have to take a break from practicing the violin, as I have to complete my master's thesis in the next month, as it is due in the first week of May, and I have been putting it off 😛 So I have to use all my free time and hit that hard. Plus I have to study for my COMPS...I would so rather play the violin...
Maybe, I'll have some time here and there to grab it a play it, or maybe I can finish this freaking paper sooner than what am expecting it will take.
Either way, if you don't seem me posting around that is why

There is this productivity ... idea... called the Pomodoro Technique. It is named after pomodoro- (italian for tomato) shaped kitchen timers in Europe. Basically, you set a timer for 25minutes and focus on your task that long, then set it for 5 mins and take a break. Repeat. After 4 "pomodoros" you can take a longer 15min break.
Perhaps using this technique you can spend 25 minutes on thesis, and 5 minutes on violin? 🙂

Hello Hello Hello everybody! Guess who is back, that's right, ^ this guy is done with his master's paper, and ready to get back to practicing the violin. I have to admit I did grab it once in a while, but these past three months were crazy trying to finish my paper, picking up the slack at work, as we are four full-timers down, but with the paper out of the way, and with our staff about to become fully staffed again, I should have time to get back on the game 🙂
I will have a good two months before I take classes next Fall semester, I still have a few classes left to finish my master's; I sort of started the program backwards, wanting to get the hardest part out of the way, so even if am taking classes, I should be able to squeeze in some time for practicing the violin 🙂
I will try my best at catching up with what I have missed on the forums. I also got a nice two week vacation coming up next week, so plenty of time to practice, after I come back from my Orlando trip.
Again, happy to be back!
