The important thing is now we are all friends, We all speak Engrish and we plays fiddle or variation of it. God Bless America, Britannia, and Apple pie.

Happy Independence Day!!

As you may know, Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, was a violinist. Here's an article from the Monticello website about his violins and his proficiency as a violinist:

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

Happy 4th to all.

Hope it's better than mine. No phone, the phone went out Monday night and the phone company won't be able to get to it until Friday.  We got everything ready for dinner out in the back. The day was sunny without a chance of rain, or so said the weather reports. We just sat down to eat when the sky went black and down came the rain. Inside we went put on dry clothes and waited it out. The rain stopped and the sky cleared so off I went to hay the horses.  Just as I was opening up a round bail down came the rain.  OK all the horses are hayed and The sun is out again so I clip the horses and get ready to leave then I bet you can guess what happened next. By the time I made it back to the house the rain stopped and I was soaked. Now I am sure if we go to the fireworks it'll be rained out so I'll stay home and it won't rain and others can enjoy the fireworks.

It must be the fireworks gremlins. I didn't buy any this year and my neighbors told them to rain on me.

Happy 4th. I took my Mom down to the riverfront real early so we could get a good spot to watch the symphony and fireworks. So the three hours we had to kill, I practiced my violin and fiddle music as the crowd grew bigger and bigger. Two solid hours of practicing and playing. Good times.
