Aloha again Fiddlerman,
First, I'd like to say that it's all your fault
I got started on the fiddle, from buying one to actually playing the darned thing, all because of you. I've come to find out that you've really had a tremendous impact on the whole world due to your website. I don't come across too many people that have that kind of reach, and I'm grateful to have become part of your internet "family."
I would like to wish you a very Happy Birthday, and many more! I know I can't be there, but eat some cake for me!
You have had a great affect on me - after having come to your site, I've recorded a few clips of myself playing, participated in a group project, and have had my creative light dusted off and illuminated once again. Thanks for that! I only hope to, one day, be able to have just a fraction of that effect affect someone else.

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!!!
I'm so sorry that I have not responded earlier but I have been AFK for 4 days. We took off for a 3 day cruise on our sailboat to sail in Biscayne Bay, Miami. Stayed at Dinner Key Marina (too hot to sleep on the boat without the AC turned on).
The wind was on the light side but decent afternoon winds for the bay sailing. We had to motor to Miami because of very light winds. On our trip back we had enough wind to reach 5 to 6 knots due north towards our home port destination (Pompano Beach) after 12 noon, 2 - 4 knot winds before that. This was a great relief as there is nothing better than shutting down the engines and hearing only the sound of wind and water IMO.
In any case, thanks for the fantastic wishes. I enjoyed reading them all.

What a great little trip on your Birthday weekend and Fathers day!
We miss you when you are away! We surely missed you at our little fiddle function on the 20th. I am happy to report we all played pretty darned good and did not let you down!!!! Diane, myself, Barry, Bill, Denny, Ripton...and some lovely friends in the audience.. such as Ken!!! Forgive me if I have left anyone out.. because I was in a stage fright mode and I can't recall that much..

Happy belated birthday!!! I had no idea you were into sailing too! I currently have a Hobie 16 myself. I have been sailing all my life.
Anyway I am glad you had a safe trip and a happy birthday!
