Have you had a moment when you simply forgot to do, or whatever, the simplest thing before or while playing and did NOT notice that that is what was causing an issue until after a while of head scratching?

I did. Could not figure out why my violin did not sound quite right. I re-tuned it, checked to make sure my shoulder rest did not slip, nothing.

Then came the 💡 moment. "Hey Mouse, try tightening the bow!" Yep. 

To make matters worse, this happened a couple years go with my viola. What ever happened to live and learn?
