I went back and watched the rest of the film--I really enjoyed the whole thing.
I found this review of the film which gives a different slant--not very complimentary.

Be that as it may from a moviemaker/reviewer's standpoint I learned a lot about Heifetz I'd never known before from watching the film. And I'd recommend it to anyone.

Bah, reviewers. While such a movie may never be a box office hit, that doesn't mean that it isn't very worthwhile. Obviously it will be of more interest to a niche audience, but it is a good sized niche. Mostly people interesting in violin and/or classical music will be who would most want to see it.
With a performer/musician as significant and influential as Jascha Heifetz, for a reviewer to say that it wasn't worth a feature length film indicates a lack of interest and knowledge about the subject. It is rather pathetic when reviewers try to evaluate topics beyond the scope of their knowledge and experience. Sadly, it is usually the case.
Who pays any attention to reviews anyway? LOL
