Wow, if I don't play for a day it's because I feel REALLY terrible - mentally or physically.
Even while busy with the Grandkids, I'll usually play a little for them while they're eating - or if some are staying overnight, I'll at least spend some time playing softly, right before everyone goes to sleep.
If I'm having a good day, it just always seems (to me) like icing on the cake to relax by playing some familiar tunes, or start something new that's caught my interest.
I have way too many other interests and hobbies. I'm afraid if I didn't feel like playing a bit everyday, I'd run the risk of tumbling down a hole - where it would be hard for me to see any progress and I'd get less & less enjoyment from playing. Soon, Edgar (like poor Mortimer) could easily become 2nd Fiddle to other interests in my life. (lol)
