I did not play my instruments today. I am enjoying an afternoon with my husband of watching TV and just talking. A very enjoyable day.

Why not, its a good idea to have a break I think, very nice to relax and take it easy, sometimes practicing can feel like a job and when it does I dont think anything is achieved by it. Its not good becoming obsessed by anything.

Cant beat a sunny day

Wow, if I don't play for a day it's because I feel REALLY terrible - mentally or physically.

Even while busy with the Grandkids, I'll usually play a little for them while they're eating - or if some are staying overnight, I'll at least spend some time playing softly, right before everyone goes to sleep.

If I'm having a good day, it just always seems (to me) like icing on the cake to relax by playing some familiar tunes, or start something new that's caught my interest.

I have way too many other interests and hobbies.  I'm afraid if I didn't feel like playing a bit everyday, I'd run the risk of tumbling down a hole - where it would be hard for me to see any progress and I'd get less & less enjoyment from playing.  Soon, Edgar (like poor Mortimer) could easily become 2nd Fiddle to other interests in my life. (lol)

I was feeling great. I just I was just enjoying a quiet, easy day at home. It was very relaxing and pleasant. Back to my activities today. After my coffee I will do my cello and viola. Then it will be my knitting machine Knit-Along. Maybe I can get in some violin. But, the Daytona 500 is today, so I am not sure.
