Nothing to do with fiddle or violin - just something that grabbed my attention and I liked it ( not to everyone's taste of course ) but I do like "alternative interpretations" of well known pieces - and I would rank it as "not a bad attempt at all"

Call me an old cynic......   OK, no need to bother, I know that already LOL

I actually like this arrangement better than the original. laugh Thanks for sharing this.

We should have a thread for sharing the various things we either listen to or make. Maybe music that has inspired us in some way.Just a thought.......

:) Tim hahaha - I had kinda guessed you would like that one!  @starise - oddly enough I had recently been thinking about adding a specific forum thread relating to exactly that - well - specifically on the "things we make" concept - be it our own tunes/compositions/arrangements or whatever.  Maybe a separate sub-thread for physical "things we make" like our own unique "instruments" and so on (as distinct from normal DIY tasks on violins)

I can't set that up myself, but I'll have a word with Pierre @Fiddlerman

A couple of years back we had a really active member who posted a lot of his own fiddle compositions as sheet music (he composed, but didn't actually play - but man they were fine tunes!).  That sort of thing should have a "place of its own" on the forum I guess.

thats a good one @Billyg  like it!  I noticed it was on a soundtrack to a series recently.  Is that where you came across it?

Indeed @ABitRusty - I heard it (played very much at low level, but audible) in the series "The 100" which I was kind-of-not-actually-watching on Amazon Prime  ( I just let such programs run, without really watching - just to give a distraction if I need to take a break from what I'm doing LOL.   It's either that sort of thing or Classic FM playing away in the background ).  So, about 2 hours after having been aware of it, I searched it out...  and that's the one :)

I started watching the 1st episode.  The description looked interesting but I never felt the desire to continue after that. I might revisit it.  you know between the fiddle and such. some good music can be found out there though in tv land.  Westwood season 2 had a good remake of heart shaped box.
