I noticed one of the pop quizzes is about our favourite violin movies, and Kinski's Paganini is one of the answers. I've never seen it.
Kinski's autobiog was originally called Ich Bin so Wild Nach Deinem Erdbeermund, after a fake Francois Villon poem (Kinski used to do Villon recitals by a German translator who was a charlatan and who added some fake poems of his own).
It was highly pornographic. Then Kinski rewrote it and added a second volume and called them 1. Ich Brauche Liebe (censored), and 2) Paganini, all about his love for his son and his favourite movie.
I read all three. Ich Bin so Wild was definitive and excellent, but the other two are junk.
What's the movie like?
