The answer I am looking for will be a string of numbers in two parts. Part one with 7 numbers and may begin with 35, or just 5 numbers. Part 2 with 8 digits where the first three numbers could be 014 or just 5 numbers..
Here's the question: (Cryptology) from the song/lyrics, All along the Watchtower.
There italicized letters and harder to read blue letters. I get 14 italicized ones:
d a e b g d a e g g e a b b then n. Mostly groups of 3 in each paragraph but 4th has none and the last one has only 1 italicized letter.
I believe the blue ones are: f d a e b f c f b a e e c e they seem to be grouped in three in each paragraph although the 4th one has no blue letters.
Clues: "before you fret on how to retrieve the chords, make sure you level on the line" I also believe the "rhythm" has a component.
Wish I had a better grasp on theory. Let me know if any of this makes sense.

@Ripton -
I didn't get any sleep last nite, so think you just fried my brain. (lol)
Solving a cryptogram by hand usually involves a mix of logical deduction and exhaustive tests of remaining possibilities. Furthermore, keep in mind that a cryptogram could have no solutions, one unique solution, or even numerous solutions.
Sorry, I'm of NO help!
You have me curious, though - wishing you success! 😊

I think it has something to do with chords and chord numbering.
I dunno. I'm out of my depth here and just spit balling but the groups of 3 notes are the basic chord style and the groups of 4 are more advanced chord groups. Usually, you use a finger for each string, but there's another style of playing where you put your entire finger on all the strings at the fret. I think that's Barre but I don't know for sure.
Then there's chord progression, Nashville numbering, etc. I don't play guitar and barely play my violin so that's the limit of what I know.
