Yep, VERY COOL! 

Thanks for sharing a new experimental instrument!

...so, my 1st thought - yeah, we need a mini bungee cord violin!!!  ...okay, maybe viola. (lol)  Figured since I've seen people take a bow to guitar strings, maybe someone has tried bowing Thundergut strings... but no luck finding anything on YT. 

 

Nicolas Bras caught my attention, though - with his "Bass strings with elastic tensioners".   Cool, but don't think the outer weave could handle much bowing & it's not really set up for it.

Nicolas has a lot of really cool DIY instrument videos on his YT Channel!
