They are on and are stretching in. The G and D are both silver wound according to the package. They are synthetic core strings. I like what I am hearing so far.

@pky - they are Vision Solo's. The most surprising characteristic was that they seemed thinner than the Zyex, at least at the threaded ball ends where they went into the tailpiece much easier than the Zyex did. They must be light tension strings because they def dont feel like the highwire tension of the Zyexs either. But, after 3 years of regular playing, Im still such a noob at this considering Ive avged 6 months or more between string changes. Its not like I have a recent memory to compare them too. They are nice though, the sound is like what I want my violin to sound like. Well, except that its my fingers and bowing....but still. lol.

at @ $75 bucks a set, they were a tough decision to make. I found some old gold jewelry and sold it for the money to get em. Gotta find more of that stuff.....

We are much more competitive on the items that we sell a lot of. We sell Zyex sets every day. For some strange reason we don't even sell all that many Dominants which I am sure are some of the most popular strings out their. It might have something to do with Fiddlerman's highly suggested strings. ;-)
