I'm in the navy, so a sailor, though mostly a Dirt sailor. only been on a ship for a week, though have spent alot of time one security boats.  I'm a Master at arms lol. But on the side I breed raise and train Quarter horses :) (which is really my passion but the navy provides the funds to play with those ponies)

Insurance claims auditor. A career virtually devoid of personality or creativity, reducing the blood, sweat and tears of life to hourly rates and unit costs. Its soul crushing on a daily basis. I hate it. Been doing it for 15 years...lol. It makes me feel righteous in my indignation I guess.

I put Gov/Politics, but I'm Army (trust me there's a lot of politics).  Been doing this for more than 14 years, and I've got at least 6 more.  May stay for 30 though.  Time and my body will tell.

This is a cool thread.

I just finished grad school for digital film making and landed a job at a production company/ad agency.  I guess it's kind of like a fiction writer going to work for a newspaper, but it pays bills for now.

I'm also going to use this moment for some shameless self-promotion.  For my thesis in school I had to write, direct, and produce a 20 to 30 minutes short film over the course of my final year.  (It was about this time last year that I was shooting it actually.)

The film is online now, and if anyone is interested, they could watch it.  If they wanted...dunno

I do title work on real property for the gummint. I used to say at least its a steady job, but in the current political climate, that isn't necessarily a true statement. :(

That was fantastic. I couldn't stop watching. And when I think of the budget you must have had on this short film compared to so many big budget bad movies. I'm super impressed, and I mean it sincerely.
Thanks for sharing.

@Fiddlerman - Thank you, Sir.  I'm glad you and @wookieman took the time to watch it.

We did do some fund raising prior to filming, but you're right.  It came down to a lot of favors and many, many hours in front of a computer by myself to get it done.  confused

I definitely know who to call if I need to have a movie made. :-)
I almost drew a tear at the end (won't say when for those who haven't seen it yet).
