Officially working at home office forever now - got a bunch of pros - not far to go, can wear pj's all day, get snacks all day, watch grandkids (not sure if thats a pro or a con!), have hallmark Christmas movies on all day, don't have to wear a mask or make up!....and best of all....can practice tons when it gets less busy...
Cons - I do get distracted easily...I have mastered making pastry, crocheted 10 baby blankets, along with a full line of baby uggs and ski hats, painted 3 pictures, made 5 welder caps, and embroidered just about every thing in the house.
....now if I could just get to work and play the fiddle!
I guess this is how it will be for a while so going to make the most of it, have a cute new grand baby and my 2 fur babies, I kinda love being here all the time...
oops, gotta get back to work...but couldn't resist showing off our newest grand, she's a sweetheart!

@Mimi Aysha -
How wonderful you're working from home.🤗
I don't know how you're going to focus or get any work done with such a cute Granddaughter!
Is she your 1st?
My latest Grandson #7 - "Ender" was just born on the 19th, so he needs a little more time to become that cute. He sleeps most of the time (of course) but does smile a lot!
Now we have 4 boys and 3 girls.
My BH and I have 3 of the kids 1 day a week & the other 3 the next day, then we also babysit for Daughter's/kid's Dr appts. Our daughter is amazing taking care of that many kids while her husband works (she likes it 🤪)!
Sure glad they only live 15 minutes away from us!
I play lullabies for the little one and try to mix up different interesting fun stuff to play for the rest when they want to be left to play, color, etc...
Thanks for sharing the brightness in your life, Mimi!

Don't I wish... lol!

Thanks guys - I'm excited about it all
@ELCB We have 5 kids and 5 grandkids - this little one is almost 2 months old, born during this virus with some complications, so feeling blessed....I haven't played with her around, not sure if it will hurt her little ears.
We had started building a home office anticipating me retiring so it all worked out. Turned the kids den into a music room, which all the little ones love, there's a lot of room with 5 kids gone...hubby loves it, but I'm still not used to all the quiet after all these years of a full house....

How wonderful to have 5, so far!
We just had to get rid of my home office - for another bedroom! My BH got tired of the constant assembling/breakdown of "Kid-O-Bunks"!
So grateful for what we have (I had started feeling I really missed out)! BH has 8 siblings, so he's used to it - except not living on a farm here.
...I play very softly for the little ones - better than my singing (lol).
Actually, I don't play loud when any of the kids are nearby me. We have tall ceilings, but figure all 7 have enough hazardous noise to contend with when they return to their own small house!
Best wishes!

Oh the bunk beds, we only just got rid of them this year...I cried
It's not unusual for the kids to run in the back door at any time, or get home from work and find them here, we all live local, I pick them up from school and keep them if parents are busy or still working. Job is flexible, even when I was at the office so I fill in babysitting whenever.
The 2 older boys have fiddles and lessons with my friend, they also play guitar and drums. The 2 little girls like the piano and ukulele....their mom prefers they learn sports, so I am just helping them going through the little kiddo books.
I believe the mix of solitude and complete concentration learning instruments, has gotten my kids through some difficult situations, bullying, disappointment, stress, etc....if someone wanted to strum a guitar on their own...or let some aggression out on a drum set....the others left them to it for a while.
I love seeing my kids smile when the little ones head down there. Even if the noise isn't exactly pleasant all the time, you can hear the laughing and giggling, and them telling each other what to do, it's precious!
