We just hung the latest addition to our Christmas ornament collection on the tree...and, of course, it's a violin! It's a very authentic looking, tiny little fiddle that even came in it's own case. Just had to share a few pix:

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

Those look really cool!  I'd been thinking of making a violin ornament out of a bit of scrapwood and some wire, but the season has just ended up being a bit too busy to find the time to sit down and whittle/carve one.  Maybe for next year..

That looks real nice....I bet it costs more than my 4/4.

Don't know. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a tiny bow. I bet Daniel could make one.

Surprisingly, it wasn't that expensive: $12.95 (on-line), including the case. I've seen ornaments that weren't nearly as nice in gift shops that were priced more than that.

That's a great idea. I was thinking that it would be a shame to pack it away after Christmas. I'm gonna find a place to display it year 'round.
