Remember the good 'ol days when you could just pick up any old Nyckelharpa then just play along with to the oldiesthumbs-up

I honestly can say I never heard anyone shred a Nyckleharpa, but if I did, that last guy would be awful close. roflol

My neighbor played the "Nyckelharpa" and the fiddle. One week his favorite would be to play the violin and the next the Nyckelharpa, LOL.
He lived through his 90's before passing away and never said no to playing for anyone in his life. He played regularly with his folk music buddies and wanted to end his life while playing. His life ended recently in his sleep the day after a real enjoyable gig.

Below is Evert to the far right playing with his "Spelmanslag" at a church gig with 3 Nyckelharpa's and a bunch of fiddlers. Lots of fiddlers to the far left out of this picture.

I LOVE guys like him. I get a joy out of knowing them. There are lot's of "Everts" on this site and is what makes this place so cool for me.

Now I know the answer to the question "What do you get when you cross a violin with an accordion?"

Should we guess? I don't know, what do you get when you cross a violin with an accordion?
