Well, this was long overdue lol 🙂 I'm gonna post recordings of my ongoing progress, but please bear with me, cause I tend to get rattled when I play for a recording rather than people as you'll see why at the end 😉

It would be nice if I could play that well! That was a real eye opener, listened first thing this morning, 5am.

Good job but where did the "ensemble" come from on 2nd verse?

Well, the ensemble was me, I recorded myself playing a simplified version for example instead of 4 8th notes, I played a halfnote, and so on and so forth. I then did an overdub recording. Had to slow down though to make sure it matched up.

LOL yeah, I just got pranked by a screamer vid, so I thought I'd return the favor hahaha

Next one will probably be Amazing Grace.

Two more recordings, but keep in mind I'm just having fun and getting lost in the music, and out of it as well lol

I probably used 4-6 tunes in the 2 vids, some of them I can't even remember the names of roflol

Well, that performance seems right on schedule and easy to listen to.  Now it is all up to you!  You seemed mostly relaxed or are you nervous on stage ?

One thing that you can work on besides improving intonation (everyone's problem) would be your bow hold. I would like to work with you on that. If you have Skype add: fiddlerman.
No charge.

Naska, not all people get that nervous when they perform. You need to get used to it. Also, you need to play for the love of what you are playing and never to impress people. When you play to impress you put a new type of pressure on yourself.

I'm sorry, that was not really what I meant. What I meant to say was that if one doesn't care what others think about them or their playing you can play better under pressure.
The only time I ever get nervous is during an audition and it is because I know I am being judged. It's been a while since I've had any auditions but the process is extremely tough.
Why do you care if you make a mistake? If you are at home by yourself and make a mistake how much does it matter?

Do you know the story, "The Emperor Wears No Cloths" ? If not look it up and read it then picture everyone in the audience like that. It may help break your stage fright Mad Wed. You post videos here and you look comfortable and are playing very well by the way. Get rid of that dang stage fright...You can do it!

I almost fell of the stage when I was done, rubber legs hahaha if you notice my bow as in bend to the audience was really awkward, if only you saw the recording to the rehearsal, I really did trip on my feet.

Thanks Pierre, I appreciate that 🙂 I did this recital 2 years ago, before I discovered FM.com, in fact, one of the guys in the workshop suggested this site to me. (Er Bienes) he was in the first drawing when FM.com started. I have since adapted the hold you taught in the videos.

As to stage fright, I was able to notice my partner having a hard time as well(and her skill level was a lot better(she did a solo, Gavotte, after I went offstage) so I was able to relax.

I see. It always helps to play with someone too. Imagine if you didn't have her by your side.

dunno It's not like a fear of making a mistake .. i don't know what my problem is... but when i'm on stage everything flys out of my head and i forget all i've learned - it's like a collapseduncecap

It's like "i have to go on stage" not like "i want to" ...facepalm And then happends this: "D*mn it! I'm on stage... they are waiting... do something... what?... here is the bow and the violin - play!... how?... what to play?... you know it!...no..i don't remember..."dunno

I can jam with my friends without any problem even if there are some people, who doesn't play and just stare.. no fear, but as i get on the stage - here it comes..

Thank you, guys!! I really appreciate your help! =)

I'll work on it.. When it will be warm outside i'll go on street to play. I know it can't be like that forever. My teacher said that if i'm a musician now then i will be on stage ..want i or don't..facepalm
