Thanks for posting stringy ! The drums remind me of the queen mothers funeral. I hope we go all out for her majesty tomorrow!

So do I katie, I love our history and tradition.

Prince Edward and the countess of Wessex were there this afternoon at the manchester cathedral. Along with a host of other dignataries for a thanksgiving mass.

Oh really ! It’s going to be huge and so it should be . In my opinion anyway . I agree with you. I’m in France but will be keeping tabs.

Blasphemy I know, I'm not a huge fan of bagpipes. That being said, the tune and setting were extremely fitting. Thanks for sharing this, @stringy!

Oh my, all I can think of is we've also had rain today, with 85℉ (29.44℃).

...can't imagine having to wear all that gear in the heat!

Luckily or not, its freezing here, so they dont have your prob Emily;) Itsbeen even worse for me coming back from abroad to this weather.

Extremely fitting John, strange atmosphere in the country at the moment, a lot of scots are upset, while at the same time a lot of them are pleased, it goes back to king william, and is a long and complex story of religion, the Scots, the Irish and the English.

Katie hope you are enjoying France  only been there once and that was only to the south. we were delayed coming back from Hungary on Friday, only got back in the middle of the night. Went to Budapest to see what it was like, and I was also hoping to pick up another hungarian fiddle cheap, didnt happen though

What a send off that was! Couldn’t have been better! We managed to watch on French telly ! We are in a place called Pornic in the Brittany area-very nice. I’ve managed about 45 mins of playing everyday. Hope you enjoyed Hungary & Budapest

Was impressive wasnt it, felt sorry for Charles, he looked destroyed, glad you are enjoying France, I have friends who live over there. In fact I have friends all over Europe, the missus sister is a nanny, until quite recently she looked after the kids of a very famous formula one driver who lives in Switzerland.

Budapest wasnt as good as it looks on images that you see. its a big place though and very similar to london in architecture, I wouldnt go again,  lot better places in Europe, it was extremely cheap though. was there five days tòok 170,000 huffs which is about 400 quid and came back with two hundred quid, and thats after eating in a different restaurant everyday. You do have to be careful as they all try to rip you off for everything. Heard a few gypsy fiddlers while I was there they were quite good, they wander round all the eating places annoying the diners lol.
