I've been pretty much out of it for the better part of a week. I somehow contracted pneumonia. It feels like I'm offering up half a lung when I cough. It seems to not be getting worse, so that's a good sign.
If this doesn't do me in' I'll be back over the next few days. Hopefully with news this is passing. keep safe and well everyone. I hope no one else comes down with any of the bugs, virus, infections that seem to be common this time of year.

@Tyberius
oh no... I am so very very sorry to hear about that. Please rest and heal up. Pneumonia is so dreadful. I hope you have some breathing treatments to help dry up your lungs. This is worrisome. All good advice from above. When I had it about 2-3 years ago.. I had antibiotics, and albuterol. (sp).. but the main thing that seemed to heal me was a little pack of steroids that the doc gave me. It was like a miracle.
Sending good vibes and healing wishes.
I hope to hear (read) a happy and humorous post soon.
and
Cheers,
Toni

Well, I'm finally back to feeling somewhat human. No more hospital trips because my oxygen absorption wasn't good, high fever or some runaway sinus infection on top of it all. Haven't had a fever in a few days and finally can eat something the isn't completely liquid. I have never been sick like this, ever. I haven't touched any violin in seems like a month. So, tonight i'll see what can be done. Thanks for the notes, concern and advice everyone. I'm still really tired, but I can breath without coughing so hard I lose toes.

Thanks again for the concern from all. the dry coughing is bad, so when those start you just have to bear through it all. They are less frequent. but that which doesn't kill you usually make you wish it did.. or something like that...
I got 15 minutes practice in yesterday and another almost 30 today. I have the next 4 days of from work, scheduled time off more then 5 months ago. couldn't happen at a better time.
