Hi All

Decided to post this 'off topic' because it not fiddle. Its viola smile

I received my viola today. Its a nice instrument and I'm sure I'll enjoy learning to play it.

There is no way that I'm going to give up the fiddle, however I reckon that the viola will compliment it very nicely.

Here is a video of me playing it. Please take into account that I've only had it about eight hours and I've never held a viola before. violin-1267

The tune is called Redeemed

Seen it all. Done it all. Can't remember most of dunno ..... What was I saying???? facepalm

Great job and congrats on your new viola.

Very impressive for just that few hours into it.

I got a new violin and have spent several weeks just to adjust to holding and bow angle...lol.

You did well.

Great job John. Keep it up smile
You need to examine your bow speed and pressure as it needs a little more pressure than with a violin. Also check where your bow is meeting the string (contact point) between the bridge and fingerboard.
Great intonation so quickly for being a violinist with a new viola. :-)
