When placing an @symbol in front of someone's name in a post, that list appears and narrows down as you type the name, but I find often if I click the name on the list, the name that pops in there is not the name I wanted. For instance, twice today I wanted to mention BillyG. When I clicked on BillyG in the list, the name that appeared was madbill. So, instead of using madbill, I just went with what I typed, but when the post appeared, BillyG's name was not highlighted.
Sometimes when I type the @ in front of a name, the post appears with the name highlighted and sometimes it doesn't.
Am I doing something wrong here, or do others find this, too?

Hi, if the person you're tagging have changed his or hers username, the new username will show up on the list. However, if you click on it, the old username will show up in your text.

Ah, so BillyG used to be madbill?
All this talk about BillyG and he doesn't even know I'm talking about him!
Let me give it a try.... @BillyG
OK, I clicked BillyG and madbill popped in there. Here goes; I'm clicking post!
EDIT: It worked! Thanks @HP . Hah, yours came up hatefulpain; that's how you knew this little trick.
I'll keep it our secret!

ROFL @MoonShadows - I suspect I ought to add, for clarity, regarding my original WordPress name, "MadBill" - the "mad" referred to my anger with my original SkyLark "violin" - and not to my state of mind........... possibly....
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -
Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)
