hmm.... do you guys name yer violin? well, Paganini named his violin as "Il Cannone", and many Stradivarius' has names (i.e Soil, the Messiah, etc.)
well, my violin's name is "Nosferatu"! yes, that crazy ol' vampyre........well, i named it that because of the dark, deep, "thrilling" sound of the lower strings ( G and D), and the whiny kinda like "cry-of-a-vampire-screaming-after-being-stabbed-with-a-stake" sound of the higher part of the strings ( A and E )
it's yer turn...what's the name of yer violin?
cheers! - ⁰ℨ

HA!!! I actually have named my two since the last thread came up! LOL
My Palatino has been named "Jules" which is French for "young" or "immature." It has a very bright sound to it as it is slowly breaking in. It almost sounds as if it is youthful in a way!
My Stainer has been named "Laz" which is short for Lazarus. Meaning reborn or 2nd chance, even resurrected. I rescued this violin from a garbage pile and pretty much gave it a new life. .........although, it has been called a few.....shall we say......4-letter words as of recently. Hopefully that will change when I get the pegs/peg holes & tuning issues fixed!
