Thats a pretty cool career, musical therapist.
The condition is caused by the cancer that was in my moms kidney, which has been removed. Music memory must be stored in a different area of the brain. All of her other memories are affected.
I dont know that Antonio Banderas was actually playing, just acting. I know that there were real guitarists playing the soundtrack.
The Band Los Lobos for example.

@Picklefish Yes, I agree:) She loves her work. She moved to Denmark for three years to pursue this career, so she really works with what she dreamed about.
I must say that you are a versatile man. Do you play all these instruments? Well, I know you play the violin, but piano and guitar as well?
Practice don't make perfect, practice makes permanent.

Play is a relative term, I have about a year of practice on piano and guitar. 3 years on violin by now. I enjoy learning all three though, I think they are very complimentary to each other tone wise. Three different challenges for sure.
Guitar has been most difficult for me and I think its the most awkward feeling instrument to play. I have finally gotten used to longer fingernails on my right hand and the comfortable feel of fingerstyle. Chord shapes has also been very difficult for me to learn. I've stuck with it and I am finally getting it.
I had some piano as a child and I am having a easy time coordinating both hands, I think Violin has helped with that alot. Reading bass clef was tricky at first but Ive got it down now, less than a year to get it.
The predominant challenge of Violin has been coordinating both hands but also developing the finger speed and dexterity.
Ultimately my goal is to teach all three instruments full time as a private tutor. I think it could be a great job for my next 40 years on Earth. lol.
