Astral Weeks is one of my favourite albums of all time, I know that the string arrangements were added by Larry Fallon after the recording, but I don't know who plays the violin on these songs, I like his improvisation solos (the album was recorde in 3 days with musician that had never played together and had not even heard the songs before
Does anyone know who can be?

@Chusman - Hi!
🤔This is a tough one, if there are no credits listed on the album.
Funny, I read Van Morrison thought the strings ruined "Cyprus Avenue", only he turned around many years later wanting to record "Astral Weeks Live" - claiming his reason was desire to perform it with full orchestration. I'm not so sure Van Morrison had a very high regard for the bowed strings used with his songs, maybe just the other instruments.
I know John McFee played with Van Morrison for a little while, and he did play violin (among other instruments), but I can't find a connection to this.
Unfortunately, the quality of the video is not very good and I have no way of knowing if the string quartet that played on stage is the same that was recorded on the album.
Sorry, I tried. 😕
