This is easy ..... when you make a video recording do you think your violin sounds better or worse than you imagined violin-student?

I'm not referring to how well you play, but rather, the quality of the violin sound ?

It sounds different, but as for me, quality is the same. Of course if i ignore all of sound-cuts because of inability of the recorder to record EVERYTHING... If You mean QUALITY as a term that includes all of comparative characteristics of the sound - then it much worse... But depends of a recorder too much..

Most camcorders are pretty good.   You can hear some on this forum.

Do you just not trust your recorder ?

Since I record with a webcam, I would say worst but not by a lot. I wonder how it would sound recorded outside?
