I recently went canoeing for 5 days on the mighty Yukon River.  My sister flew up from Ft. Worth to go with me.  We had a grand time.

I brought my fiddle with but only really played it the one day we laid over at a river road house.  Stiff fingers and soar back you know.

Beautiful.  I love Alaska.  What hit me - was there at the end of May a few yeas back, was being able to smell the snow in the air.  So clear, crisp and fresh.

Violinist start date -  May 2013

Fiddler start date - May 2014

FIDDLE- Gift from a dear friend. A 1930-40 german copy, of a french copy of a Stradivarius.  BOW - $50 carbon fiber. Strings - Dominants with E Pirastro Gold string.

Yes, you can smell it coming.
