Currently working on getting badges to show up horizontally. Should hopefully figure that out within a week. Thanks for your patience.

hello everyone,
My name is Rodas and I’ve been playing for about 6months. Started playing after seeing fiddlerman’s $109 violin review. First time I played in front of the camera so there are some parts I messed up, but any advice and suggestions on improving are welcome.
Thank you,
Rodas

Rodas, six months? I wish I was that good in the Suzuki book at that point You sound great. I don't know if you had a metronome play in your ear or not, but your strict keeping to the rhythm was really good. Intonation was good too.
I think you're ready for the next two Suzuki books. Keep up the good work.
Oh, and welcome to the forum. This is a place where you can show your progress and get helpful suggestion along the way.
Keep up the good work

Pretty good. Intonation was generally excellent. The couple of minor bobbles I heard I'd blame on newness to the camera. As long as you heard them, they're not a big deal.
Only thing I saw that you might want to work on is that the bow is wandering around a bit, from about the 3rd soundpoint to the 5th. Different places on the string demand different combinations of speed and pressure to sound their best, so wandering is not good unless it's intentional. It was hard to tell from this angle, but I think your upper arm was moving backward and forward a bit. (It obviously was when you were playing at the frog, but that was both intentional and necessary. I'm talking outside of that.)
One thing that would help us critique you is if you'll either move the camera to your right, or turn yourself left, so that the strings are perpendicular to the line between you and the camera. When your body is facing the camera, it's hard to see things like what angle the bow is at to the strings.
To only have one issue to work on (and that one not a bad case of it) at 6 months is pretty good. You've obviously put in quite a bit of practice, and it shows.

@Bob thank you for the kind words! Yes it was a metronome. My weakest point is rhythm so my teacher has been making me play with metronome.
@BillyG thank you, I will try to play in front of a camera more.
@damfino thank you for the kind words!
@Charles thanks for pointing that out! you have a great eye. I noticed that too when I was playing in front of a mirror. Next video I will make sure you can see the path of the bow.

@ryonass - I won't ask about your username...Glad to see your video.
I know you didn't put it in critique corner but you asked for advice.
Besides what was said by others, I would love to see you play it again without looking at the fingerboard. You may surprise yourself... I know you can do it. It will also allow you the freedom to perform better.I'll move this thread to critique corner and you get a badge for this as well.
