Fairly early in the learning cycle of this song using a guitar track from my evil "twin" .  Tried to follow @Ferret 's earlier advice (From Farewell to Tarwathie) on bowing away from the fingerboard, but was only partly successful.  Any suggestions for improvement are welcome.  gwscheer ( at about 9 months into violin)

Hi Gary.. that is not an easy song to play.  I would like to hear it solo. For me I can hear it better that way.. (I am the anti-accompanist)   Only due to my attention issues... I think..   In the middle of the song I heard some really clear good sounds.  I like your tone.  I think you are on to something here!  As usual I dig that violin and it sound.  Great choice in song.  If this is fairly early in the learning cycle. YOU will rock it out soon.  Good Job. Thanks so much.

Do you sing?  This would be a great song to have a vocal also. :)

@gwscheer Your playing sounded very nice.

I am at month 8, lesson 4.  The first couple of lessons I was using too much shoulder - so Teach had me using short bows using the middle of the bow.

Similar to the way this gentleman is bowing this song:

I have conquered the raising my shoulder issue and now Teach is saying use more of the length of the bow.

More like this:

My goal - to bow like this, using the whole bow!!:
